The Three Little Pigs: Tax, Blunder and Employment.
The Nation burdened with these three little pigs, those unemployed seeking work grateful for the merge Welfare payment that barely sustains living. BUT
When a Judge in an Auckland court directs street level crime in full is reported by the newspapers of the country to reflect the real agony of people driven to extremes down the dark roads of crime.
Under resourced single people, disabled, elderly, IHC, unemployed, when the wolf howls at the door is it any surprise crime becomes the education of the children of the nation, and employment for those wanting to buy food.
We are indeed fortunate to have a Welfare System the country would be raked by crime without, however when the system discourages real will or effort to uplift one off the benefits for the unemployed as part –time work ones’ benefit is penalized so why bother, for the fragmented and broken arrows in New Zealand’s’ society the three little pigs ignore.
Disenfranchised people ask is prison more attractive? Put real money in the peoples pocket now especially in the Welfare System and give the vulnerable of the Nation a helping hand up to parent their children instead of a business out sourced that is costly, the able bodied and education/apprenticeship, or training to related industries without penalization perhaps crimes of domestic violence born out of stress, thefts, shopping spree theft, assaults, drunkenness, drugs will decline as the Nations costs for prisons, social services, hospitals, and businesses losses through crime diminishes.
It is just common sense. But the three little pigs play in their comfortable yard with their greedy stupid noses in the trough and ignore the cry of the wolf at their door.
