Battered Blue Line New Zealand Police Force

The New Zealand Police Force are a wonderful body of hard working men and woman.

The police in New Zealand do not carry guns, are easily approached and always there to help. As with any organization the New Zealand Police Force was tainted by a small few whose behavior was not acceptable however justice was done, in a public court hearing. Then they were sentenced.

Tasks of controlling traffic, keeping the drunk drivers off the road a recent brutal attack resulted in a cowardly attack on the officer who was battered and beaten.

A policeman trying to stop a very drunk driver whose potential was to kill some-one, trying to turn the engine of the car off was dragged as the driver attempted to flee.

A young policewoman Bryony Brown crushed into a painful mangled crippling mess between the stopped vehicle when they reversed back onto her crushing this brave young constable between their car and the police car. Not forgetting those who have recently lost their lives in the line of duty.

New Zelanders in need, in times of stress, or tragic circumstances that blue uniform offers warmth, compassion and security. It is no longer acceptable being drunk/drugged or ‘having a good time’ targeting the New Zealand Police who are great kiwis’ keeping the body of the community safe.

The media in New Zealand could well do reporting the stories of heroism, courage, when many of the younger generation are falling prey to alcohol, drugs and life threatening circumstances that the thin blue line catches them when they fall.

It is time to heal the bruising of the thin blue line and give them the support and respect they deserve before they begin to carry weapons as a nation we do not desire. We seem to have forgotten they too are kiwis’, the bloke next door, the mum down the road.

It is time to salute our New Zealand Police Force and see that those that abuse them justice is done.
